Master Node
A master node, also known as a masternode, is a full node in a decentralized network that performs additional functions beyond basic transaction validation and block creation. It typically requires the owner to hold a specific amount of the network's native cryptocurrency as collateral. Master nodes provide advanced features such as instant or private transactions, decentralized governance, and network stability. They contribute to the network by processing and validating transactions, participating in consensus mechanisms, and supporting additional services. In return for their contributions, master node operators receive rewards in the form of cryptocurrency. Master nodes play a vital role in the operation and advancement of blockchain networks.
